Toad Lake is one of the smaller lakes in the District of Muskoka, part of Ontario’s cottage country. Located in the Township of Lake of Bays it is a shallow, secluded lake, close to the boarder of Algonquin Park. There are few cottages & homes on the lake. The setting of Toad Lake is very peaceful and idyllic ~ it is a tranquil oasis, a place to escape city life. Just less than 3 hours from Toronto, Toad Lake is close to the Town of Huntsville, and the village of Dwight.
The surface area of the lake is about 34 hectares, with a perimeter of 3 kilometers. The maximum depth found in the lake is 6 meters, with a mean depth of 2 meters. Water levels on the lake are not regulated.
Public access to the lake is located on the northeast side of the lake, off Tasso Lake Road.
Major fish species in the lake are: Yellow Perch.
